Max is 3!

Max had his 3rd birthday! It's so amazing how time flies! We celebrated the day before since his birthday was on Sunday this year. We went to the rec center to play and swim. The next day we opened presents and he loved everything he got. We had pancakes for breakfast and then went to church. He took some smarties to share with his class. We went to the Pattersons for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner and to celebrate birthdays. Max had told us lots of times he wanted a train cake, so we made a pretty awesome one. He loved it and even said I was the "Cake Boss". Pretty awesome. We had his favorite dinner another night, which was spaghetti and meatballs. It was a great day and we are so thankful for our sweet, smart and creative boy. He is a little guy but he has a huge heart!

I forgot, we also watched "Fantastic Mr. Fox" because Max and I read that whole book together so we wanted to watch the movie.

She was very proud of the one piece of popcorn she smuggled.

George loves to sing outrageously to the birthday song. This is proof of that.

He got a cape, train, cars, guitar, new shoes and something else I don't remember.

Thanksgiving

Poor George had to have surgery a few days before Thanksgiving so he was pretty out of it. We had a fun time being with my family. I am constantly thankful for our wonderful family and the many opportunities we've been blessed with. We are so lucky to be where we are in life right now and I wouldn't change it for anything! These are the only pictures from Thanksgiving day.

Before and after pictures of George

I'll end with this cute video of George and Max singing a song together.

The cabin for conference

We were able to go the cabin for Conference again this year. I love that cabin! It's such a great thing and I love that it's been an ongoing family project for so long. It was Lauren's first time there and she did great! Max loved the toy loft and it was fun to have lots of family and a few friends come. What better way is there to update than with pictures?
