Good news!

We get to add another sweet little pumpkin to our family! This time, it's the girl kind. Max is going to have a baby sister. We are so excited for this new adventure! The score is tied!

Pumpkin pickin

October has been a big month for us as far as fun activities go. I hope I can still think of some fun things as the weather changes. We thought Max would love to go pick up some pumpkins and boy were we right! He literally squealed when we put him on the ground by the pumpkins. The man running the pumpkin patch gave us a flashlight and Max walked around "checking" the pumpkins to see if they were good. Luckily they were tough pumpkins! In the end we found a "daddy, mommy and baby" pumpkin. It was a great evening!

Half way 5K

We ran the Cougar Run 5k on Saturday. It just so happened to be my 20 weeks pregnant mark so I dubbed it my "halfway 5k". It was really fun to do another run as a family. We definitely didn't break any records, but I'm happy to still be running. I'm really hoping to run for most of my pregnancy. So far so good! Max was just happy to have found a ladybug. He was so sad when it flew away.

Raspberry pickin

We went to a raspberry farm in Payson for family home evening last week. Raspberry season is winding down, so the raspberries we picked were free! They normally cost $2.50/lb which is an awesome deal, but you can't really beat free! I used to hate raspberries when I was younger, probably because I had to pick them. Now I love them! Max loved picking the raspberries and eating them. His method of knowing if they were ripe or not was pretty good, if it's ripe it will stay in my mouth, if not I'll spit it out. I really look forward to going next year!

Here's what we ended up with. It's not much, but remember it was FREE! and they were delicious!

Conference weekend

We were able to go to the cabin for conference weekend and it was so fun! Max loved all the attention, as usual, but really loved playing with the toys in the loft. It was difficult to get him to come down. It was a great time with conference, food and lots of fun. We were even able to get some work done. Lloyd, George, Katie and Molly spent a good part of Saturday knocking down dead trees. All that was left was a tree graveyard. Max had fun watching the trees go down. As usual, it was great to listen to our leaders give us counsel. We are especially excited for our nephews and nieces that will be affected by the missionary age! We can't wait to have some awesome new missionaries from our family preaching the gospel to the world!

Bridal veil falls

We decided to go to bridal veil falls for our family night activity. I love seeing the beautiful leaves this time of year and Max loves rocks so it was the perfect combo. Max loved running around and even got to feed some fish with his daddy, although he preferred just throwing rocks. He kept saying "nature" over and over again. It was a perfect evening. We ended it by getting some Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which we had a coupon to get $2 off a dozen so we decided to share with our neighbors. I did not want a dozen doughnuts sitting in our kitchen, tempting me all day. When George gave some doughnut to Max, he was literally jumping up and down as the sugar flooded his bloodstream. Luckily he still went to bed peacefully. It was an awesome FHE!
