Max the 2 year old

Max is now 2 years old and he is so fun, but so challenging. He talks so much and has a silly little personality. He loves to learn new things and to play with his toys. He is so obsessed with reading and the iPad. He loves to sing songs and make up words to songs. He remembers everything. Not only does he have a great memory, but his recall is amazing. He has memorized so many books and brings up things that we haven't talked about recently. My favorite thing is hearing him pretend with his toys and when he asks me questions. He also likes to tell knock knock jokes, which is pretty hilarious just because he says all of it by himself. He is just growing so fast! One thing that has been frustrating is his lack of naps. He does a good job with having quiet time though, most of the time. He is kind of sassy lately too, but still a cute sweet boy. It will be interesting to see what he is like with his little sister but I think they will be the best of friends.

Coming up on 39 weeks...

I just wanted to express some feelings about pregnancy, so this isn't a very visually exciting post. I honestly can't complain about my pregnancy because everything has been going really well. I love being able to feel my little girl and feel that special connection. It's hard to believe that Max came at 35 weeks. This little girl is going to be way bigger than him! But my fluid levels have been totally normal and there really is no reason for me to have a repeat C-section. Things are looking really good for me to do a VBAC which will be so nice, especially for recovery. I'm kind of nervous because I've just never been in this situation before. It's almost like I haven't had a baby before. I'm just hoping for a different/good experience. Right now I'm just feeling big and I hate that most of my clothes are uncomfortable. I just want to see my precious little girl and enter this new adventure. I think Max will be a great helper and will love his little sister but who really knows. I haven't progressed much in the last few weeks but I still feel like a time bomb that could blow any minute. It's made time go so much slower! But I know when the time comes, I'm going to be thinking how unprepared I am! We are pretty excited!
This is a cute video of Max feeling the baby's hiccups.

latest crafts

Sometimes I think of all these great ideas but then I never do any of them! I always get these ideas and buy all the supplies and then they sit. With our baby girl coming, I had all sorts of ideas but this time I actually did them! In the last month I've made a throw pillow, 3 blankets, curtains and some little little bows and flowers. I figured that once I finished these things then the baby would be free to come. It hasn't proven to be the case, but I'm glad I got some things accomplished. I am by no means a seamstress, but everything turned out ok. Funny thing is, I actually don't even like sewing but I like the idea of making my own things. I wish I was more crafty!

26th birthday

I had a great birthday this year! I got to celebrate all weekend, which is the best. For my birthday, I knew I didn't really want clothes so I got a pedicure, which felt so nice, and some shoes. We went to Nicolitalia's for pizza and then on Sunday we went to my parents to have a delicious dinner. I just love mashed potatoes and roast and gravy. Plus, my mom made my favorite strawberry jello salad and a delicious birthday cake. It was so much food that George joked that the baby would be born just so she could get out of the cramped space. Then we went to grandma Pearson's house because she was also celebrating her 98th birthday. It's always been an honor to share a birthday with her. On Monday, I went out to lunch with my mom and sisters. We went to training table. And for dessert we went to get ice cream at Coldstone. It was a great weekend. I would've preferred to not be so pregnant, but it was still good.

Our field trip to BYU/ Justin's swim meet

My nephew, Justin, made it to the state championships for swimming and they were held at BYU. We went over to watch him and explore. It was super fun to just get out of the house. We walked around the sports hall, I can't remember what it is called right now. Then we went over and watched the swim meet. It was really fun to see Justin compete and it was a huge accomplishment for him to make it to state!

Justin was in there somewhere

This is Justin, I promise
We ended up watching him swim on a big screen, so yes, this is a picture of a picture
