Best balloon ever and halloween festivities

Max got a balloon from Macey's at check out
I know you can't tell from this face, but he loved it! I wish they had given it to us at the beginning of the shopping adventure.
We didn't really do much for Halloween this year, so I decided to make a fun shaped pizza. It actually turned out pretty good.
Max wanted to dress like daddy on Halloween

A rousing game of peek-a-boo

Max has figured out the trick of hiding and then jumping up and saying boo. So cute!

Playing in the leaves and Halloween 2011

Max LOVES playing in the leaves. We went up to Draper yesterday to visit and granddad had a pile of leaves ready for Max to play in :) It was also his 11 month birthday! I can't believe he is almost 1!

Mario costume!

The mustache is my favorite

All the grandkids came over later for the big halloween bash. Nina did a wonderful job planning it and putting it all together. I wish I had taken more pictures of everything because it was a lot of fun!

Huge difference

I got the bouncy chair out to take apart and put away and Max really wanted to climb into it. He hasn't sat in it for months! As you can see, he's quite a bit bigger than when he first sat in it :)

Max is the most interesting but...

I suppose I'll update about how the rest of us are doing even though Max is the most exciting thing in our lives right now. George is working hard in school and working part-time at Wavetronix. I fill in at work (Utah Valley Pediatrics) when I can to bring in a little extra bacon. Max gets to play with aunt Cami on those days and they both love it! Now for some more pictures!
Bad habit. I think he's found a convenient place to hold his finger :)

Sweetest thing ever! George was playing and singing Max to sleep. That's a tug on the heart strings!

Max is smiling in these pictures, but he isn't smiling at 2 in the morning when he's standing up and can't get back down

I love this little man!

Little buddy

Max is almost 11 months old and I seriously can't believe it! He is so much fun right now. Here's what he's been up to:
*Crawling like a pro

*Walking along everything

*getting up on things and then getting back down

*talking all the time
*Saying "mama" when sad and "dada" when happy
*getting into everything, including the TV cables. He's quite the daredevil

*interacting with the world

*dancing

*reading books (he LOVES books)

*got a new haircut

*he does this funny squinty eye thing

*helping mommy with the laundry

We sure do enjoy this little boy. He makes everyday more exciting!

This post is long overdue

I am so bad at blogging! Well, a lot has happened in the last 9 months since I blogged last. Max is now 10 1/2 months old. I've decided that I will never blog if I feel like I have to make up for that time so things might get a little random.

Max

Maxwell has come a long way from his birth at 4 lbs. 12 oz. He goes to the doctor tomorrow for his 2 month check up. Here are things about Max. He is starting to have chubby little cheeks and a double chin. He loves to stretch himself out straight, which makes him seem even bigger :) He has the longest eyelashes, which tells me he is my baby even though he looks nothing like me. He likes to look at our faces and he is starting to smile back, which melts my heart. He likes to kick, sometimes so much that he scoots himself down in his bed. His hair is kind of wavy like his daddy but still very wispy. He hates the carseat, but falls asleep instantly while in it. The first few times I put him on his tummy for tummy time, he accidentally rolled over. He was in the right place at the right time I guess :) He is so sweet and I feel so grateful for him. I'm sad to go back to work and miss out being with him. He will be in good hands with his dad though :)

Gratitude

It turns out I am terrible at this blogging stuff. I've been thinking lately how amazingly blessed I have been/am. I have a wonderful husband who takes such good care of me. We celebrated our 2 year anniversary last weekend and it was so fun! He is my best friend and I can't wait spend forever with him. Maxwell is starting to be so much fun. Some days are rough but then he looks at me and smiles and it is all worth it. He is such an amazing blessing in our lives. It's so hard to believe he is here and healthy even though he had a rough start. He is starting to interact with us more and will look at me when I'm talking. It is so rewarding to see his smile and to be able to calm him down when he is sad. I'm still a little amazed that I am a mom and that George and I have a baby. I am so grateful for the fact that we will be together forever. It's going to be a fun adventure! Now for some pictures :)
George looks so good in this picture. He loves doing little projects to improve the house. He always gets his best ideas while sitting in the bathroom :)
My boys lookin' good. George wanted to be twins with Max today :)
Hangin' out with dad

Going for walk

Cousins: Ellilia is 2 months younger than Max, but is a pretty good contender
