Love and birthdays

We had a fun valentines and birthday weekend. We didn't do anything crazy, but it was good. Max and I made dinosaur sugar cookies. Honestly, I only had that shape and so we made it "heart"-y by saying "you are Dino-mite!" They were delicious! We decided to go out to dinner as a family. We went to costa vida. YUM! Win for Costa Vida for having a bubble tank that mesmerized our children. We had so much fun together. It was a great evening!

I tried on my wedding dress this weekend at my parents. It fit me after 2 babies! I feel so good! I've been able to run more lately and I love it!
On my birthday we went to visit a family member in the hospital and take breakfast to them. It was great! (The visit and breakfast, not the hospital part) I went up to Draper with Kim and Lauren and then over to grandma's house for lunch. I love sharing my birthday with my grandma. 99 years old. Really? That's amazing! She is such a fabulous woman and has done so much in her 99 years of life. She is classy and regal. I wish I knew her better but I'm so grateful for the birthday connection we have. She's such a great example and I want to be like her!

It was so great spending time with my mom and sisters for lunch. I look forward to birthday lunches! I have such an awesome family. My wonderful mom always makes my birthday so great. I'm so lucky!

George and Max spent the day together and when they got home we all went out to dinner. We went to Texas Roadhouse and ate soo much food. We haven't been to restaurants very much and Max doesn't really know the right way to act. He was obsessed with the animal heads they had on the wall and was devastated that he couldn't take them home.
I love my little family. George is so great and considerate and he loves me and our kids so much. I can tell that 27 will be a great year!
Random pictures from the month:
Max buried a stick to grow a tree
Lauren LOVED the park today
Lauren and Max love each other so much. The other day Max did something not very nice to Lauren and we were trying to get him to say sorry. We were starting to get frustrated him when our sweet baby went to him and gave him a hug and a kiss and he said he was sorry and everything was better. It was such a great example to me of pure Christlike love. It's amazing what we can learn from a child.

The Hawaii trip reveal video

This is sort of long, but it's priceless. We have been planning on going to Hawaii for my parents 50th wedding anniversary for the last few years. She didn't know about it until this video. It's going to be so fun! This happened on Christmas.

Neola visit

We took a trip out to Neola for Paige's baptism. I snapped a few pictures of the cousins playing.

11 months old!

I'm so behind on my blogging. Bummer. Well here's 11 things about Lauren at 11 months!
  • She weighs about 15 1/2 lbs.
  • She goes up and down the stairs all day long. She is very sneaky and turns up when you least expect her.
  • She loves to stand up and walk. She's even been letting go and standing on her own a lot lately. I don't think it will be long before she takes off.
  • She loves to give hugs and kisses, the biggest wettest kind.
  • She loves to play with balls and has just figured out how to throw them. She loves it when you roll it back to her.
  • She says "mama" and "dada" and "uh oh". She seems like she attempts to say Max.
  • She hides her eyes and plays peek-a-boo. Plays "so big"
  • Her hair is constantly in her face because she gets into everything. George loves how her hair gets kind of curly on the back.
  • Waves bye bye
  • Started doing some signs. "More" and "thank you" and some other she made up that I'm not sure what she means.
  • She navigates my iPhone really well and likes to talk to Siri.
I say the same thing over and over, but she really is the sweetest little baby. I can't believe she will be one next month! She has a sassy and feisty, yet loving personality. We sure love this little girl.
