Good ol' Neola

Max and I took a trip to Neola to visit my sister and her family. It's about 3 hours away, near Vernal. It was such a long drive, but we had so much fun! Max loved playing with his cousins, although Kendra made him a little nervous because she loved him a little too much. Alli was a wonderful host!

Shortly after we arrived, Alli put this water blob thing together. She had seen the idea on Pinterest. It took a long time to fill and it had a few leaks, but the kids loved it! It was a swimming pool without the swimming pool. I love that she actually does things she sees on Pinterest.

We tried to go to Jeremy's softball game, but only caught the last 5 minutes. We went the park afterwards (no pictures) and the kids had a blast! Max and Kendra especially enjoyed throwing sand at each other.

Alli heard about a splash park so we went to check it out. All of her children had tons of fun, while Max enjoyed sitting on my lap. It turns out he was teething and not feeling so great. He usually loves the water, but would only go if I went in with him. It was still fun and they all found something to do. Jett, Camden and Paige all had water fights, Alli got to "tan" and avoid having water poured on her head by Jett, Kendra wandered around and Max found some rocks. They were all very happy!

We had so much fun playing with our cousins! Next time, I'm flying though.

Is your mama a llama?

I love these boys! This is a long video, but so cute!

Just listening to my jams...

We have been going on morning runs with this little guy and you can imagine his amazement when he discovered that music comes out of those little headphones. He loves listening to my music while I stretch.
Instead of doing a million posts, I'll just make this a long one. We have entered the car stage in our house. Max loves to drive his cars around and say "vroom". He has been a big talker lately too. Especially repeating the things we say. The other day I did something silly on accident and I said "cuckoo mama" to Max and he said it back to me. And kept repeating it. It was pretty funny. We gave Max a haircut because he gets so sweaty. It turned out pretty cute actually considering I'm pretty awkward holding scissors and a comb. We turned on Curious George and he sat perfectly still. We have still been coloring and reading books a lot and even got to play with our friend Seth for an afternoon. June has been a great month.
We went with our neighbors to a duck pond we didn't realize even existed. It was awesome! The first piece of bread I gave to Max to throw to the ducks he stuck right in his mouth. Luckily it wasn't moldy, just stale. He loved watching the ducks swim over to the bread.
George is loving his job at Vitalsmarts. He gets to play frisbee every Friday and river disc during the week at lunchtime. We are looking forward to a great summer full of running, 5ks, camping, coloring, Bear Lake, demolition derby, cabin and all that other fun stuff. We found a new place, still located in Provo but much more space. We are planning to move at the end of August and we are excited.

Maxwell's obsessions

This was our day today:
Max wakes up and eats breakfast.
Coloring.
Go outside-swimming at 7 Peaks.
Lunch.
3 1/2 hour nap.
 Go outside.
More coloring.
Dinner.
Bath.
Bedtime.
Max's current obsessions are going outside, coloring, books and, as always, dirt. He would seriously be in heaven if he could sit outside all day and color with mud crayons! Coloring is the only way to stop him from sitting in front of the door and screaming, "outside".
He usually brings me 2 different shoes to put on him, but today he also brought mommy some shoes. He said "shoes", I put them on and then he said "mommy shoes". They almost match.
Then he goes to the door and says "outside" for as long as it takes for me to get to the door.
